Anthony D. Jewett, President, Founder & CEO

Born and raised in Fort Myers, Florida, Anthony began studying abroad in middle school and high school in France and Costa Rica. In 2003, he earned a B.A. degree in international studies from Morehouse College.  As a Morehouse student, his passion for international exchange and cultural diversity earned him both the Freeman-Asia and Benjamin A. Gilman scholarship awards from the Institute of International Education.

He extensively studied Chinese, French, and Spanish, before graduating college and studied and worked abroad in Benin, Senegal, China, and parts of the Middle East.  Before founding Bardoli Global, he worked as a dual-language elementary school teacher in the South Bronx of New York City with the Teach for America national service corps.

Anthony founded Bardoli Global in 2005, and in 2006 was named “one of the world’s fifteen best emerging social entrepreneurs” by Echoing Green. He is a dedicated member of the 100 Black Men of Metro Houston and Leadership Houston, and serves on the boards of directors of Bread of Life, Youth Represent, the Collaborative for Diversity in Education Abroad, and the editorial advisory board of International Educator magazine.

J. Reed Caldwell, Managing Director of Program

Born in the small town of Pontotoc, Mississippi, Reed decided to expand his knowledge of the world and music and left Mississippi to purse a degree in entertainment. He received his bachelor’s degree in music business from Middle Tennessee State University in 2001 with minors in Entertainment Technology, Classical Guitar, and Spanish.
After working in the music business in Nashville, Reed returned to Mississippi where he committed himself to non-profit work in art and art education with the Yoknapatawpha Arts Council.

During his time with the Arts Council, Reed discovered, developed and participated in many cultural awareness and diversity based initiatives such as the Oxford Film Festival, The Mississippi & Latino Heritage Festival, Afrissippi Arts and Culture Festival and the Double Decker Arts Festival. His involvement in culturally diverse programs led him to create his own customized study abroad program studying Spanish in Guatemala and Mexico. He soon after decided to travel extensively throughout Latin America to fully immerse himself in cultures and languages far different from his own.

In 2005, he began to pursue graduate studies in International Business at the University of Mississippi. In May 2007, Reed completed his Master’s Degree in Organizational Management from the School for International Training (SIT) in Brattleboro, VT.
